For this week, we go through Molly Littlewood McKibbin's "The Current State of Multiracial Discourse" , and the research shows that the none-white birth in United State is outnumber white birth, and as the main ethnic group, whiteness being on defensive due the the minority of birth. Some of the white people think that their core position in US society has been challenged. This defensive becomes certain types of discrimination.
Similar event happened for education resource as well, for example, the percentage ratio of Asian students( includes international students and local Asian Americans) in UC system is relatively too high, around 45 percents. Some white people think that those Asian students steal the education resources from them. And for those Asian students, since the universities require higher academic standers to these Asian student, so they also feel unfair on their education status.
These kind of defensive feelings deeply rooted in their mind, and this racial discrimination not only affect US society, but also bring negative influence on US diplomatic. The Trade War that still happening between USA and China is the other consequence of these defensive thoughts. US politicians think that Chinese productions occupy US market, but US export doesn't have same amount of market in China, which caused trade gap.
