The idea of creating this card piece comes from the concept of advocating interracial marriage. The drawing typically represents that different races of people are always connecting with each other. From the picture, we can easily identify that there are four different races around the Earth, Black, Asian, White, and Middle Eastern ethnicity, hand to hand around the Earth connecting to each other with a strand love. Even though we are well aware of the fact that there are many other races in our world, we simply chose four typical races around us to represent the connectivity for all of us. Then, we decided to use Ace of Heats to embody solidarity and love for interracial marriage as well as number one issue for all of us. Such a simple drawing conveys an essential idea, which is that all different types of races have the same right and responsibility for establishing our home. In other words, our home couldn’t be done better without having understanding and support for interracial marriage.
Another reason why we chose to make this card is to against the idea of anti-miscegenation even though we all know that Supreme Court had already prohibited anti-miscegenation after 1967 in the history of U.S in Loving v. Virginia. So, why are we still addressing it again? Although interracial marriage has been supported on the paperwork, we hate to admit the fact that the public still seems to not very tolerate and understand it. Honestly speaking, many people still don’t believe whether there is any advantage for interracial marriage. Therefore, the drawing card we created is to serve as a purpose that all races, no matter Black, White, Asian, or others, procure an equitable identity, which should be respected and loved.
This card, without looking at the concept, seems to be about 5 years old playing with each other in harmony. Clearly this was not your intention. Hence, the card was not executed well. We suggest you make it look less juvenile when trying to advocate for adult relationships.
