To begin with, the issue of multiraciality is one of the greatest concerns in the modern world. What is more, the notion of multiracial representation in social media also receives a lot of attention. One of the figures in media that face the struggles and tensions of being mixed race is a Shanghainese actor and model Angela Yeung Wing, who is better known for her stage name 'Angelababy'. The chosen family photo of Angelababy serves as a confirmation of her mixed race-ethnicity.

Angelababy was born in Shangai to Shanghainese mother and half-German and half-Chinese father. She has always insisted that her unique looks originate from her European heritage. However, her unique appearance was always a foundation for vigorous discussions. After gaining popularity as a top Chinese actress and model, Angelababy was long dogged by rumors that she had plastic surgery. Moreover, the alleged pictures of her real face have been circulating online over the years. The case became so disturbing that she had to be examined by doctors to verify her authenticity. She has successfully passed the examination and later sued Beijing beauty clinic Ruili for carrying an article on its website, which alleged that she had plastic surgery.

Finally, it could be indicated that, nowadays, it is difficult to be a top star while encompassing multiple races. In most cases, it means that one will be under thorough examination of the public eye. In this instance, the vivid example of Angelababy's case can serve as a call for action because if it the issue of multiraciality in media is not addressed accordingly, then there is a high chance that it will reoccur somewhere else in the world.
