Week 4 Art Project: Neil Castro, Ben Alto, Nik Nurhafieza Nik Mohd Rosidi

For this week art project, we are required to do a flag that represent the mixed race in our blood or what do we think about when we are talking about mixed race. We have the idea of trying to merge this week reading about the war babies and baby lift. That's why our flag has a C5 aircraft that we often seen in action movies that usually involved with military and American power. Yesterday's presentation was all about how the North and South Vietnam had Civil war and the mixed race babies were being deported by their own country to get refuge outside, some were moving to France with the history of Vietnam being the colony of France and some were coming into the United States of America, seeking protection from their father's country. This is due to the fact that most of the war babies being produced was when the American military was based in Vietnam and helped the South to attack the North that was being backed up by the communist from Russia. It was all about power as this civil war happened during the Cold War.This flag also represented the protest that the mixed race tried to be heard by the unheard voice of the mixed race babies that have been raised in the US. The colors of the background are red and yellow. It can be interpreted as America and Vietnam relationship at that time of the civil war. FREE THE BABY!

  1. You got all your historical information mixed up. You also wrote "abandon the drop" when it was a "baby lift". What do you mean by "drop"? Seems like you're confused with the information so flag is also confusing. Please the information right so and revise your flag to make it all make sense.
